Wear warm clothing in cool weather. Some buildings are not heated. Also, plan to spend time exploring the outdoors.

Wear sturdy walking shoes. The Fort is large and some portions of the grounds are uneven.

Utilize the buddy system. Hunt in pairs or groups for your own safety.

What to bring:

Flashlight. Walking can be hazardous in some areas both inside and outside of the buildings, as there are steep staircases and uneven walkways.

Camera. Any type: digital, 35mm, disposable, video camera. There are pros and cons to each type, so bring
whichever type you prefer.

Digital Camcorder. With Night Vision. Great for recording orbs, light anomalies and any other strange events.

Voice Recorder. Either digital or analog. To record unusual sounds or EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena).

Log or Notebook. To record information, such as the time and location and what you sense and feel.

Watch. For timing phenomena.

Compass. An unexplained change in the compass needle could indicate an entity is present.
The prevailing
theory is that entities cause a shift in the magnetic field—at least 30
degrees off Magnetic North.

Dowsing Rods. They can easily be made from coat hangers.

Tripod.

And, last but not least, EXTRA BATTERIES for all of your equipment.*

Extras for the serious investigator: EMF Meter, Night Vision Goggles, Infrared Thermometer,
Infrared Motion Sensor.
* Ghost drain - a phenomenon known to paranormal investigators in which batteries mysteriously lose their
charge or electronic equipment malfunctions, presumably caused by the presence of a spirit.
