Historic Fort Wayne Ghost Hunts provide a unique opportunity to document
paranormal activity at an 80-acre fort built in
the 1840s in the heart of Detroit, Michigan.
The Ghost Hunts are intended to be serious, yet informal and fun.
All participants must be 18 years of age or
older. A picture ID will be required at check-in.
The cost per participant is $40.00 (plus $1.50 service charge).
The maximum number of participants per ghost hunt is 40.
TIMELINE
8:00-9:00 PM:Check in.
Upon arriving at the Fort, stop at the security gate and tell the guard you are there for the Ghost Hunt.
Proceed left to the parking lot and check in at the Visitors Center.
You may enter the Visitors Center after 8:00 PM.
9:00-10:30 PM:Review of rules and regulations.
Participants will be given a 60- to 90-minute tour of the Fort, highlighting the paranormal
activity.
The tour will be led by a guide from the Historic Fort Wayne Coalition (HFWC).
10:30 PM-4:00 AM:Participants are free to explore the Fort on their own.
Guides will be available throughout the night for assistance, if needed.
Coffee will be served, however you are welcome to bring your own beverages and food.
4:00 AM:Ghost Hunt ends.
All participants must sign out and leave the Fort.
Participants are allowed to leave at any time. However, for security reasons, you may not return
once you leave the premises. Security will be patrolling the area during all
investigations.
RULES
No cell phones. They are a disruption to other hunters.
No two-way radio communications for the same reason as above.
No smoking in any of the buildings.
No drugs or alcohol. Anyone found using drugs or alcohol will be immediately
escorted from the premises with no refund.
No backpacks. Due to the removal of artifacts, only camera bags are permitted.
Leave any extra items in your vehicle, which will be accessible at any time.
No Ouija boards. Use of Ouija boards will result in immediate expulsion
from the premises with no refund.
Removal of or damage to Historic Fort Wayne property will result in
immediate expulsion from the premises with no refund and legal
action will be taken.
Areas taped or roped off are off-limits. Removal of the tape or ropes,
or entry into the off-limit areas will result in immediate expulsion.
