Detroit Ghosts is owned and operated by Terri King.
With a love of history and historic preservation, and a fascination with the "unexplained,"
it is a natural fit for Terri to run the ghost hunts at Historic Fort Wayne.
It all began when Terri took a historical tour of the fort in the spring of 2006.
She asked the tour guide about the paranormal activity at the fort. The guide proceeded to
recount many tales; the wheels started turning in Terri's head. She contacted the
leaders of the Coalition and it progressed from there. After several delays, the first
ghost hunt was held in October of 2007. The first one wasn't exactly a rousing success—there
were no paying customers—but it was a good opportunity for a dry run. Thankfully, the participation level
of the next three gradually increased.
Detroit Ghosts is excited about the second season of ghost hunts. We anticipate a greater awareness of
and much more participation in the ghost hunts in 2008.

This photograph was taken Halloween week when Prince Radu was touring the fort. Hmmm...Romanian
royalty, Halloween, paranormally-active fort. We're happy to report that nary an abnormally long canine was detected.

glowing object by her neck is not a vampire orb—simply a reflective patch.

Terri has been a paranormal investigator for over ten years.
In addition to her affilitation with Detroit Ghosts, she is also a member of a
paranormal investigation group based in Ohio, which previously operated the
ghost hunts at West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville, West Virginia.

Of course, the real star is the fort itself.

"I was at a ghost hunt last fall and had a great time. A full moon added to
the effect. Lots of activity. My flashlight going dim while walking alone
through the 3rd floor of the barracks was more than I bargained for.
Also a great fort tour."

"Thank you for a fantastic evening. My husband and I are considering coming back
on November 17th, if we can rearrange some plans. ...it was excellent, especially
Dave, fascinating. We really enjoyed the
historical aspects. If we can make it back this year, we are going to focus more
on the ghost aspect. ...Can't say enough good things about the tour and your efforts there!"
